Moonlighter Landscape in Oxidised Silver earrings

95.00

These are a pair of unique one-of-a-kind asymmetrical earrings in oxidised Sterling solid Silver and together with 2 different sizes clear milky white translucent Moonstone (Pierre de Lune) cabochons. Uniquely handcrafted pair by pair what you see is what you’ll receive.

The decorative morsels were replicated from parts of an intact large old Scottish Nurse's belt buckle (the original is still intact) through a lost wax casting technique. It is then divided into parts and rearranged to give them a new life with a new story to tell as wearable jewellery. I’ve always been fascinated by objects with a thoughtful decorative past/history into this contemporary world.

NOTE: The Silver has been oxidised for a dark grey patina which over time will polish off slowly the more it exposed to friction giving you an antique silver finish.

Approximate measurements:

• One of the piece measures about 1.5cm long x 1cm wide

• largest Moonstone cabochon itself is about 9mm and the smaller is 6.2mm

• handcrafted directly from my workshop in Montmartre Paris, France.
